I'll admit it. When I was ten years old, I thought the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers were the coolest thing since cool stuff. (For those of you who want to keep tabs for blackmail purposes, I always wanted to be the blue one.)
But man, that show did not age well. Or maybe I didn't age well. It's just ... really, really cheesetacular, as I discovered when a friend decided to re-watch the series on NetFlix. Once more the adorable little roller skates of nostalgia completely biff it against the cold, hard concrete of adult thought processes.

I persuaded my kids (ages 9, 7, 5, & 3) that the classic version is better than any of the remake/duplicates. Thank God for Netflix, so I can let them watch real tv, not the passive-agressive, hug-it-out stuff that's on now. 
And, fyi, Blue ranger was my favorite too!)
