Cyan - FFVI

Cyan Garamonde was the only survivor of General Kefka's poisoning of the castle of Doma. A loyal servant of the King, he was devastated to lose not only his liege, but also his wife and young son. Desperate for revenge, he attacked the Imperial camp directly, and it was only with the help of Sabin and Shadow that he makes any headway. He readily joins the Returners and fights wholeheartedly against the Empire, but he remains tormented by the memory of his family and his helplessness to save them.

Cyan's strength lies entirely in his knowledge of ancient samurai techniques, ranging from the counter-attack of Retort to the whirling, dancing frenzy of the Quadra Slam. The downside of his techniques is that the more powerful the move you want him to use, the longer you have to wait while his preparation gauge fills up.

Also worthy of note - Cyan's peculiar speech pattern. He often slips back to Early Modern English, referring to people as "thou" instead of "you."
