So, uh ... wow. Turns out :iconplanussea: is being really nice and running that little Bishounen Beam comic on her site while she's on vacation.

Retakes

So :icongabfury: got an idea on LiveJournal and passed it on to me to try as well . . . take a look through my gallery and point out some picture you'd like to see redrawn, in order to point out my entire lack of progress since then.

No fair choosing photographs.

Another crazed money-making scheme

So ... a completely different idea, given that I have too many index cards:

Con badges!

3x4 inches, inked with the fancy pens (in finer detail) and hand-colored, then mailed to you, for $10. Basically a shot of your character from the chest up and the name to one side.

An example: [link]

Note me if you're interested. I promise to keep all real names, addresses, and payment information confidential.

Well, that was a waste of characters.

So ... that sale was pointless. I figure no one's gonna jump in on the last few days, so it's ending early.

Prices would go back to what they were, but I figure at this point, no one wants commissions from me anyway, so I'm just gonna stop offering them for a while.

I'll still continue to do trades and requests (actually, I've been willing to do those all along; maybe I should've mentioned that), but it's really pointless to offer what no one wants.

Triple-two extravaganza?

So I turn 22 tomorrow. Huzzah and whatnot. And Torio recently turned two years old, minus a hiatus. So with all these twos floating around, I figured I might as well put on a sale that uses two once or twice, as though it were some sort of tired gimmick. So! Without further ado, here's my Twofer Commission Sale! (Ends on Thanksgiving.)

Pencil Scribble ([link] or [link]): $2.00

Quick-fire Ink Sketch ([link]): $2.00

Quick-fire Comic ([link]): $4.00

Detailed Ink Picture ([link] - color optional): $ 8.00

Simple Color Picture ([link]): $8.00
Extra figure: $2.00

Moderately Detailed Color Picture with shaded subject ([link]) or recognizable background ([link]): $12.00
Extra figure: $2.00

Very Detailed Color Picture with shaded subject and recognizable background ([link]) or just very busy foreground ([link]): $16.00
Extra figure (does not apply to busy foreground): $4.00

Color Comic ([link]): $8.00-$16.00, depending on amount of detail, number of characters, and panels needed for the joke. I'd consider this example to be around the middle of the scale, with two characters, some background, and a four-panel joke.

Multi-page Color Comic: $8.00 a page, unless you try to cram in like 16 panels on each page, in which case I hate you.

Geometric Designs including Celtic knots and mandalas ([link]): $8.00-$12.00, depending on complexity

Writing: ... I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Naturally, you'll want to know my philosophy about commissions, so here are some bullet points for you:

Rating: Ask for clean stuff. I haven't gotten to go beyond kissing with anyone, so why should I have to draw people's characters getting to do more? That's just unfair to me. As for exposed stuff . . . ew. That's what clothes (and sometimes fur) are for: so I don't have to look at anyone's nipples, etc.

Novelty: If you ask for something that I don't usually draw (say, a reptile or a bird or an interesting pose), then I'll do my best, but it'll probably take longer or take multiple tries to get something passable.

Request: If you want a picture or comic or something, send me a note with your request and an e-mail address. I'll iron out the details either via notes on here or through e-mail, and I'll adjust the price up or down as needed. I doubt the adjustment would go beyond the next price category, though.

Check-up: Along the way, I'll send you at least the following (depending on how complex of a picture you wanted): a scan of the pencil sketch (to make sure the height, shape, species, etc. are correct), a scan of the inked picture (to verify the details - I might have gotten something wrong), and a flat cel-coloring of the picture (to make sure the basic colors are okay before I start shading).

Payment: I'd rather not be paid 'til the customer is satisfied. So when the picture is ready (and the coloring and whatnot is approved on the more complex ones), I'll post a small, low-resolution version of the picture in my gallery to let you know the pic is ready for delivery and payment. Once PayPal has completed the transaction from you to me, I'll send you the high-res, printable version.

I'm afraid I don't send out the originals, except in very rare cases. For one thing, none of them would be in color unless I went to town with colored pencils (an extra risk and cost right there), and for another, the postage would probably be a nightmare, the picture would get bent in shipping, and Murphy would generally go lawing all over it. You'd have a better-looking result if you took the image to your local Kinko's and blew it up to the size you wanted.

If there are any other questions, I'll be glad to answer them.
