A strum by the streets

Kiran Delacourt: traveling adventurer, scribe of song and story, silver-tongued Yrchène (swamp-orc) bard . . . or, as Missus Létice Coulier is more wont to call him, "That lazy gadabout ne'er-do-well brother of mine." It's hardly his fault that the null-magic field around their home city of Pierre Grise prevents him from displaying his more supernatural abilities, is it? If she would but deign to travel outside the city limits, out into the bayoux a few miles, then he could demonstrate just why the expeditionary companies clamor for him to accompany them (in more than one way) - but alas, she remains streadfastly urban and convinced of his uselessness.

Nevertheless, despite (or perhaps because of) his more proper sister's disapproval, whenever he pays a visit to the family estate, he loves to while away the hours playing little melodies atop the wall-garden by the street, singing a soft little tune for passers-by.
